Is there a way to configure custom installation settings via command line/silently?

Section 2.3.5. "Windows installer command line options" of the Wireshark docs describes a handful of command line install settings that you can choose. I am interested in choosing which packages to install via command line silently such as leaving out the "user guide" or leaving out the GUI application and only installing TShark. Is this possible?

Nope, only those options listed.

To request other options be added to the installer, please raise an enhancement request at the Wireshark Bugzilla.

Thanks for the response grahamb. If you don't mind, are there any alternatives that you could imagine for what I am trying to do? I have a script that needs to use TShark. Is there any other possible way to get TShark on a machine on it's own?

You could make your own installer by grabbing the tshark.exe and any other required files (dll's, config files etc.) and making a simple xcopy installer.

Apart from the size of the Wireshark.exe and associated Qt DLL's, what's the issue with running the full installer?
