I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I've had this problem ever since I started using Wireshark and the developers seem to have not fixed it or improved it in any way. I use Wireshark on Windows, so I'm not sure if the same problem exists in other OS versions.

Issue: When I launch the Wireshark application (Windows), it checks for updates. If there is an update and I choose to install it, it will download the update, and then it will give an error that the application is still open and needs to be closed.

I'm not sure why this is still an issue after all this time. Can't the application just close itself and update? Am I doing something wrong?

I close the app, and the option to Install Update disappears with it.

I'm not sure why this is still an issue after all this time. Can't the application just close itself and update? Am I doing something wrong?
