How to Capture Outbound Packets from my HP Printer
I have a HP M577 Printer, Connected to my Home Network with a Static ip Address and I have a Huawei NBN Modem/Router, and I am keen to see what traffic is going in and Out of my Printer, especially if its sending data to the Internet. I dont need to capture From My PC to the Printer, mainly I am Keen to understand what is communicating to my printer.
From what I have read, it seems that maybe this i not possible because I would need to install a Driver of some sort, is this true, or is there another way of capturing Packets from my Printer onto my Windows 10 Desktop PC.
An advise would be really appreciated. Regards Steve.M
Can you describe to the plumbing/topology of your network? (Wireless, wired, mix)
Wireless capture with Windows is tough.
If possible, add a switch between the printer and router, then mirror to a port for the PC.

I have both the Printer and Pc Hardwired, I have a Huaewei 4 Port NBN Wireless Router & Dlink DIR-882, 4 Port Wireless Router, and I can Have the Printer Connected to Either Or. at the Moment the Printer is on the Huaewai, while my PC is Connected to the Dlink.
