Mac Catalina 10.15.2 loses Internet connection when Wireshark is capturing.
Once I run wireshark with a capture filter Host “ip address”, the computer no longer receives internet data. Sierra browser & postman is hung. Quitting the wireshark application does not correct the problem. THe only way to get Sierra and Postman to get internet communication is to reboot computer. Reboot fixes the problem.
I did not find this problem in frequently asked questions.

Are you capturing on a Wi-Fi device in monitor mode?
I would say yes. My Mac is the monitor (running wireshark) and connected via WiFi. It is not hard wired to the router.
When first installed Wireshark worked well. Things added that could be a factor: node-red(now uninstalled), Postman
