AskBot sort by activity does not consider comment times

"The OSQA ask site we formerly used and ran treated comments as activity, and essentially everyone I know who used the site liked and preferred that behavior over the current treatment of comments with our new Askbot site. In our view, comments are activity and do provide value. I understand after reading the answers and comments posted here that not everyone agrees with that. Fair enough. It would be really nice if we could be given the choice of whether to include comments as activity or not though, because many of us do desire that exact behavior. Please reconsider and add an option that would cause comments to be included in activity. Thanks for reading.

You could also file it as a bug against "Web sites"/"Ask - ask.wireshark.org" on the Wireshark Bugzilla.

The Notifications page in AskBot shows questions I touched and if there are others that I'm interested in updates to I can follow them. :-)

I do feel that it's an Askbot enhancement bug, but the problem is that unless Askbot provides such an option to allow comments to be included in activity, there's not much we can do about it. If a Wireshark bug were to be opened for this, then it would likely just be closed as, "Not Our Bug". Now if Askbot supplied such an option, and if we were able to actually upgrade our site to make use of it, then I can see opening a Wireshark bug.

As it is now, I don't even know where the version of Askbot we're running (0.10.2) comes from or if it's even supported. The askbot-devel home on github doesn't mention 0.10.x, and only has branches for 0.7.x, 0.8.x, 0.9.x and 0.11.x. Then there's the apparent likelihood of Wireshark moving to something like github or gitlab which brings into question the future of this site going forward.
