Many customers utilize JAMF as their MDM for Mac and there is a built in feature to update apps via a mechanism called App Installers. App Installers takes the vendors prepackaged app as soon as its made available and automatically deploys it for administrators through MDM commands in JAMF. This mechanism is extremely helpful for ensuring compliance in enterprise. Wireshark consistently needs updates, however if the app is not opened then the automatic updates do not install and you can become outdated quickly. Please reach out to Jamf to add Wireshark to the Jamf App Installer catalog. This would be extremely beneficial to many organizations that utilize Macs.
