Hi

I am new to wireshark and i am on wired network and capture traffic via mikrotik router and the result is not that good , in an TCH handshace there is an retransmission and i know that the Speed of the network card on my dell laptop is not Gigabit as the switch port are that is aTPlink managed switch. My router hace QoS and i see ICMP packet drop and finte tunig the max limit up from 3M to 5M that seems overkill but again i do not know the values to aim for.

where do i start ?, is it possibe to have "no retransmissions" in TCP hand shake at al ? if not i thin but whatis normal amount of retransmisson.

additiona linformation: when i run speedtest by ookla the download speed start los 20Mb and slowely ramps upp to 300Mb but the upload spikes immediately to 300Mb, use RB4011 router and swithc as connected to the same switch chip and QoS is present and i am finte tuning the parameters, used: ICM(1st), DNS(2nd), WEB(6th), VoIP(2nd), WEBEX(3rd), Email (4th)and REST(7th, remaining traffic of less interest for performing woth in my office .).

My router hace QoS and GB ports ad i see ICMP packet drop and finte tunig the fine tuning the max limit up from 3M to 5M that seems overkill but again i do not know the values to aim for.reccomended values.
