Hello I am trying to use monitor mode on wireshark I turned on the monitor mode by the following command
sudo iw <interface> set monitor flags fcsfail
which I confirmed using sudo iw dev that it is in monitor mode
However, when I start Wireshark it again changes to managed mode. There is no checkbox for monitor mode in Wireshark
I also tried using Wireshark through the command line - wireshark -i (interface) -I
But it says that monitor mode is not supported on the device, I am 100% sure it is supported.
Driver:ath9k OS: CentOS8
Any help would be appreciated.
