I have barely used Wireshark. I do not quite know how to use it. However, I do know why I need to use it.
The network that I am currently using, provided by my university, has been horrid lately. Using packetlosstest.com, I have reports showing major packet loss up and down, along with huge latency. I'm talking 50,000ms huge. It is very intermittent, and I have a feeling that the WAP outside of my dorm is the culprit.
Long story short, is there any way I can filter out lost packets/packets over a certain latency? Better yet, can I monitor the traffic directly through that WAP if I have access to to the MAC address? Any help would be greatly appreciated. If need be, I can put some of those packet loss test results into a pastebin.
