Reviewing a pcap how do i uncover version of php running?

ok so wanted to put out there because there doesn't seem to be an answer, need to figure out the fastest way to find out what version of php is being used by a webserver captured in a pcap.

Unless the server explicitly puts the version of PHP into a header in a page it serves, there's no way to determine that, except by trying to guess based on other stuff put into the pages.
