Hi,

I would like to support and donate development of new features to work for Wireshark :

  1. WiFi camera > Wireshark tcp dissect, data assembly, data parsing > video player (VLC ?)

tcp dump dissected, cleaned up and parsed into off-line played file in format supported by VLC or others (video or image)

  1. Internet web page > Wireshark tcp dissect, data cleaning, assembly, parsing > web browser

to regenerate from data frames full source html code of the visited web page (no web links/ web links included)

  1. Internet > Wireshark > PCAP Next Generation (pcapng) Capture File Format > visualization as image applying color scheme by protocols, data frames, pairing source / destination data packets with color scheme and more

The list of current Internet-Drafts is at https://datatracker.ietf.org/drafts/c....

with ... pocket money ;( and ask third parties to offer the same

for an old guy like me, Wireshark represents best-of-the-art in TCP/IP computer networks and it may take me weeks or so to master fluent use of the Wireshark to accomplish one of my above ideas

But, at the same time, experts in TCP/IP computer networks, like Guy, Spooky ( who responded to my preview questions) can tell me right now if my ideas make sense.

thank you

You can submit patches using the guidelines presented on the Wireshark SubmittingPatches wiki page. Patches will be reviewed by Wireshark core developers as they find time and they'll either be committed to the repository if acceptable or feedback will be provided for improvements, recommended changes, etc.

The Wireshark Developer's Guide will likely also be a useful document, as well as the various README files in the Wireshark source tree.
