can i capture non-ethernet usb traffic?

how can i capture usb traffic to/from a non-ethernet device?

i am running wireshark Version 2.6.4rc0-53-g830ea86e (v2.6.4rc0-53-g830ea86e) on mac os x 10.13.5 with no capture device

You haven't provided any information about your capture device, operating system, or Wireshark version so I'll just point you to https://wiki.wireshark.org/CaptureSet....

your link doesn't tell me how to configure wire shark on a mac, sorry for the vagueness of my original question.

I don't have a MAC nor any experience with USB capturing on it, but have you tried an internet search? "Wireshark USB MAC"finds potentially helpful information such as:https://aud-ios.com/2017/10/22/usb.... If this information is helpful, it would be nice if you could edit the Wireshark CaptureSetup/USB wiki page so others can benefit from the information in the future.
