can i capture non-ethernet usb traffic?

how can i capture usb traffic to/from a non-ethernet device?

i am running wireshark Version 2.6.4rc0-53-g830ea86e (v2.6.4rc0-53-g830ea86e) on mac os x 10.13.5 with no capture device

You haven't provided any information about your capture device, operating system, or Wireshark version so I'll just point you to

your link doesn't tell me how to configure wire shark on a mac, sorry for the vagueness of my original question.

I don't have a MAC nor any experience with USB capturing on it, but have you tried an internet search? "Wireshark USB MAC"finds potentially helpful information such as: If this information is helpful, it would be nice if you could edit the Wireshark CaptureSetup/USB wiki page so others can benefit from the information in the future.
