Hi,

When I switch from channel 1 to another channel (e.g 2 or 124 doesnt matter) I get the message ""unable to ste channel or offset" and it directly switches back to default channel 1. On channel 1 it captures packages, but I need the packages from another channel.

Can someone tell me what could be the reason and better what is the solution for this issue.

Specs: MacBook Pro (Big Sur 11.7.10) Wireshark Version 3.6.6 WiFi adapter TP-Link A600 (Archer 2TU)

How, exactly, do you have this setup? Are you doing something like this: https://www.intuitibits.com/2021/03/08/capturing-wi-fi-packets-on-your-mac-using-external-adapters/

Do you want monitor mode? If so, is that mode supported on a USB adapter directly connected to MacOS? Are you in Managed mode? If so, are you connected to a WiFi network?

I don't think Wireshark offers an option to set the Wi-Fi channel on macOS, and the code to do so is only present on Linux if Wireshark is linked with the right libraries; how did you manage to try to switch the channel on a machine running macOS?
