yes - I finally figured it out - I was tricked by the fact that the "ethers" file is not given from a plain wireshark application installation - i just had to create it and populate it with the wanted name resolvement and it worked like a clock - thanx anyway for getting back to me - most appreciated :-)
problem solved - I created the "ethers" file with the name resolvement and placed in the /wireshark program folde and reloaded => now it works as wanted
