Why won't RTMP packets show up in my capture?
I can only see UDP activity.
I can only see UDP activity.
May it is using a different port than expected. Which port is the UDP traffic on? RTMP is expected to be on port 1935. If this is the correct port, then may Wireshark was not able to decode it correctly. The you can try to RMB on a packet and change the protocol via "Decode as"
Thanks for the response.
The source port is 40489 and the destination port is 50994.
In my experience it will go all over the place. But if SIP packets are also captured then Wieshark is able to figure it out.
It may be that a streaming protocol other than RTMP is being used, so I need to look at ensuring I have identified the right protocol. That seems a bit tricky though.
