Why devices do not reply to arpping
Hello all!
I am struggling with some specific scenario, when my device's IP stack is crashing just after replying to ARP request.
The problem I have on the first hand is that generally devices do not reply to ARP requests. I can send unicast/broadcast requests to my device (and also others, normally available on the network), but they do not reply for every packet, but rather rarely. How I understand RFC 826- "Packet Reception" header - it is wrong behaviour. My goal is to make stable scenario when my stack crashes, so I can debug it more efficiently. However, with devices ignoring ARP request, it is difficult to get.
I would greatly appreciate explaination if observer behaviour is correct and when devices are replying to ARP request really.
