I'm not see ip addresses,just a blank white page with toolbars

"Blank white page" as in "you don't see the word 'Wireshark' anywhere on the page, and there isn't a set of column headings such as 'No.', 'Time', 'Source', etc.", or "blank white page" as in "you either see the word 'Wireshark' somewhere, or you see the column headings but everything else in that part of the window is blank, with no rows after the column headings"?
