Hello, I got a new Mac M2, and after installing Wireshark, I'm having this weird problem where the UI for the interface selection keeps flickering. Is anyone having the same issue? The macOS version is 13.4.1 arm64 I have tried to install an older version of Wireshark, reinstall, and restart, but I have yet to succeed in fixing the problem.

Thank you in advance.

It appears to be repeatedly refreshing the list.

Wireshark will, on platforms where it can do so, update the interface list if the OS indicates that it's changed, and, currently, the platforms where it does so are Linux and macOS.

However, it shouldn't be getting constant indications from the OS that the list of interfaces has changed.

Could you please file an issue on this on the Wireshark issues list? Please give all the details it requests, including everything displayed by "About Wireshark" in the "Wireshark" menu? Please add the screen video as an attachment as well.

And a bigger version of the image, so we can more easily see the lists of interfaces, would be helpful.

Thank you for your response. After you mentioned the constant indications, I did a quick test and turned off my Wi-Fi on macOS settings, and the problem stopped, but after turning it back on, the problem came back. I'll file the bug with all this information.

Thank you

Update: I found that I had enabled internet sharing on my system settings. The sharing setup is from Ethernet to WiFi. If I plug in an ethernet adapter, the issue disappears. The issue was solved after turning off the Internet Sharing and removing the Ethernet adapter. It means that if you have the internet settings sharing enabled but no interface available, which is probably the root cause, I will finish filing the issue.
