Hi

I have been trying to implement a javafx program and I hope through Wireshark run a query that will return back mac address to the application. Is there possible way to do this through wireshark or run a command to return mac addresses connected to the modem

Wireshark is a passive sniffer; it doesn't send anything (except for DNS lookups if network name resolution is enabled).

Maybe you want to try the arp (or arp.exe) command?

To get MAC addresses out of infrastructure devices we often use SNMP, whether forwarding table/L2 or ARP cache/L3. Not sure if that is an option?
