Can you reduce the size of the captured file?

I have a weeks worth of captured data saved into one file that is 16GB large. Is there a way that I can either reduce the amount of data or just get a day or twos worth of capture to reduce the file?

You can use editcap to extract a timerange out of a capture and save that as a new file.
