I want to use the ptp decoding, but we are using different port ids due to an asic. Is there a way to have Wireshark decode specific ports at PTP?

I see the packets as the UDP packets they are, but I can't get the decoder to go thru the data field where the PTP info is.

Thanks Dave

The ptp page on the Wireshark wiki has been updated to show the Preferences available for ptp.
You can add the specific ports that your project requires.
There is now also added a sample capture file using ports 42319 and 42320 to experiment with after updating the UDP port(s) preference.

(UDP port(s) was added in Convert most UDP dissectors to use "auto" preferences. You may need to upgrade to a more recent version of Wireshark to see this Preference.)

Use the "Decode as" settings for this.

I tried that, but PTP isn't an option in the pull down.
