Build Wireshark on other IDE other than MS Visual Studio

Would like to know if there is alternate IDE other than MS Visual Studio to build Wireshark code. Also, interested to know if there are alternate tool chain for building Wireshark code other than the ones specified in https://www.wireshark.org/docs/wsdg_h.... Or should we strictly follow these without any alternate. Thank you.

The only supported buildchain on Windows is Visual Studio, VS2019 or VS2022.

Some work has been done on building with MSSYS2 but it's not tested by the core infrastructure and I have no idea if it's usable.

Note you don't have to actually use the VS IDE. I've handled my Wireshark work for decades with a text editor and the command line.
