TCP Out-Of-Order

asked 2021-09-09 16:20:09 +0000

I'm getting a large number of TCP Out-of-Oder packets [Ack] - see attachment. I understand thats frame was received in a different order from which it was sent. Is it means Im having routing problem? What other factors that may have cause this issue?

No attachment? Post in a publicly accessible location with general permissions so the public can download and have a look at what you are seeing.

You could have network problems but also out of order TCP can be caused specific capture setups as well. So in this case, you should describe how you are collecting the packets, too, to generate the behavior in question.

Actually packets out of order might not be a problem. After all it'ssort of how the internet was designed to work.

Sometimes on slow links you see that large packets take a while and get overhauled by small packets send later.

But thist is just speculation at this point. As we have no information to go on.

An attachment would really help. There are a couple of reasons why a packet is labeled as Out-Of-Order. Networks can build logical redundant paths at all layers.
