dumpcap.exe 2.4.5.0

I have two instances of dumpcap.exe running and I am not able to kill them. When trying to kill it through the task manager, I get: "The operation could not be completed - Access is denied"

When trying to kill it with taskkill in an elevated admin command prompt I get: ERROR: The process with PID 16728 could not be terminated. Reason: This process can only be terminated forcefully (with /F option).

When forcing the taskkill (/f) ERROR: The process with PID <> could not be terminated. Reason: There is no running instance of the task.

I have also collected a series of hangdump (1min interval) if that is useful for you guys

Please raise an issue on the Wireshark Bugzilla and attach at least one of the dumps to the bugzilla item.

Out of interest, which capture library are you using, WinPcap or npcap?
