Is it possible to install LUA plugins as part of a Wireshark installer

I wish to produce a Wireshark installer that includes various LUA plugins (so the end user doesn't have to manualyl install them). While I can find instructions on how to add C based plugins to the build/install, I haven't found anything that explains this for either the NSIS Windows installer or the Linux packaging. Is there an easy way to do this? (ideally for both Windows and Linux)

There is no built-in support for this, so you would need to modify the appropriate installer files to include the lua scripts and copy them to the required destination.

Note that there are distribution restrictions for npcap, see the licence for that installer to ensure you comply.
