My mac version is 10.11.6 and the current and old version of wireshark is not compatible with my mac, does anyone have a link to an older version of wireshark that is compatible with my mac?

From the wiki page on the Wireshark Life Cycle, you'll likely need something in the 2.6 vintage, which has about 4.5 months of support left.

That would be 2.6.17 for you at the moment, which is just two weeks old. So even though lacking the latest new features, it's maintained, planned until October 18, 2020.
