Hello,

I've got two different laptops both w10 machines and both using Cisco Anyconnect. Both using wireshark 3.2.3. One the one laptop I can start a trace and see packets coming and going from the private IP space. On the other laptop it only shows my packets going to the outside IP of my FW. I've tried updating drivers rolling back wireshark to an older version and then uninstalling and reinstalling. Is there something obvious I'm missing here?

thanks for any help

What you are missing is the fact that it's the capture engine, either WinPcap or Npcap, that is relevant here. They way it has to integrate into the network stack, as does Anyconnect, determines how these interact. Assuming you use Npcap with the current Wireshark version you'll have to look into Npcap reports to see what their status is with regard to VPN integration.

How do I know which one I'm using since on my laptop its working just fine? I assume I can force the other laptop that isn't working to use whatever my laptop is using?
