I can't see a completely ipv6 address (source and destination), I just see ::1

i can't see a completely ipv6 address (source and destination). I see just ::1 , not more. So source address = ::1 and destination address = ::1 .Why? Please help. Thank you

IPv6 in Wireshark (17:05 - special addresses)
That's the lookback address - 127.0.0.1 in IPv4.

The IPv6 Cheat Sheet lists special addresses.

Cheat sheets and YouTube videos are definitely helpful, but I would recommend trying to reference more authoritative sources first. Mind you, Jeff Carrell is definitely a reputable source, but it's still good to know where he gets his information from, which is here:

RFC 4291 IP Version 6 Addressing Architecture:
- Section 2.2. Text Representation of Addresses is the definitive source for IPv6 address text representations, and
- Section 2.5.3. The Loopback Address is where the Loopback Address is defined.
RFC 5952 A Recommendation for IPv6 Address Text Representation:
- Section 4. A Recommendation for IPv6 Text Representation is where the "::" notation is introduced and the rules surrounding its use are governed.
RFC 6890 Special-Purpose IP Address Registries:
- Section 2.2.3. IPv6 Special-Purpose Address Registry Entries also explicitly lists the short form loopback address definition as ::1/128.

Ha, I only enjoy reading them from the perspective of learning something, which I almost always do no matter how many times I open up an RFC and read from it. But I wouldn't exactly place this enjoyment in the same category as other forms of entertainment. :)
