Can typeahead be disabled for display filters?

I'm recording sessions with Wireshark, and the typeahead display is a real distraction when viewing the video; it also displays more information than I'm covering in these basic lessons.

Is there any way to disable it? I don't see anything obvious in Preferences (or Advanced Preferences)...

Currently that option does not exist. You can file an enhancement bug to request this option.
