Other utilities like mergecap or editcap are available. Checked Wireshark on Windows as well as KaliLinux version, randpkt is missing. Was it replaced by an alternative packet fuzzing tool? I'd like to use it for general packet fuzzing by replaying the generated pcap -files.

Unfortunately, randpkt isn't packaged with Wireshark on Windows, so you'll have to compile it yourself. You may wish to file a Wireshark bug report asking that it be added to the distribution, as I did with dftest in Bug 13825.

EDIT Bug 15395 has been filed.

UPDATE The bug has been fixed and randpktwill be available beginning with the next stable release of Wireshark, 2.6.7. You can also download an installer from https://www.wireshark.org/download/au... if you'd like to get access to it before the next official release.
