On CentOS/RHEL Linux distribution you can get Wireshark from the repository of CentOS. yum install wireshark with no graphical interface, and adding as well yum install wireshark-gnome with the GUI for visualization. It is not the last version, on the CenOS repository, but you can always get the source code of the last release from the wireshark.org webpage.

An alternative to take captures on linux computers, is always to install tcpdump a Unix tool for packet capture using the libpcap library on the Linux computer. Ex. yum install tcpdump , see here or here as well
