I have SIP with XML (part of SIP Rec capture) that its XML part is not parsed by Wireshark, how do I get Dissector for it?

Hi Community, I am trying to look on SIP Rec captures that has parts in XML, these parts are not decoded by Wireshark, is there a dissector for it? Thanks

I assume "The format of the content is "application/rs-metadata", and the body is an XML document, the format of which is defined in RFC7865." as per RFC7866.

If the xml data is shown as plain data you should be able to decode as XML.

Furthermore you can file an enhancement bug report to request the addition of the interpretation of this MIME type. Please include a sample capture file to the bug for test and verification purposes.

You are quite correct. I can see the content when I select "Show Packet Bytes" in ASCII format but I need it as part of the packet view. Do I need to open a new account on the WS Bugzilla to report it? Thanks.

If you want to file an enhancement bug and be updated on the progress of the resolution of this bug, then yes. Otherwise it depends on someone else to pick it up.
