I cannot capture the megaco protocol.
I am trying to capture the protocol between two systems. I see the correct IP addresses but the string ends and says destination port unreachable. VOIP is working correctly though because i am testing it myself and the call went through. It seems wireshark is not capturing the packets.
Can you describe your capture setup a bit more, i.e. where you are capturing, any capture filters you're using etc.?
i'm on a switched network. I used port mirroring to copy the port. I filtered wireshark to use the megaco protocol and I also tried filtering the port as well, that didn't work either. I then tried using the IP address and I was able to get some info but it was just some ICMP data and it wasn't the call info. I am trying to capture data from two Toshiba systems calling each other. One is a CIX 40 and the other is a CIX 100.
Please provide a link to your packet capture and relevant filters to help with diagnosis.
