How can i find someone's specific ip?

The ip im trying to find is my friend's, I can send him emails and/or any other form of communication over the internet. Problem is that im trying to find his ip in the school wifi and the amount of people using it in once is insane. So my qustion is how can i find his ip and make sure it's his? If its even possible...

The short answer is: it is not possible.

The long answer is: in certain scenarios it might be possible. But in that case you need to know if your communication is server based (email) or direct communication (some messengers), if you are using IPv4 and/or IPv6, if you are connected to the same logical network, etc.

So with the information you have given, it is probably not possible.

You might ask your friend for the MAC address of his device. If you know that, you might have a chance to determine his IP address.

Mhm, thanks you. so lets start from the basics again do you know about a good site/guilde/way to learn more about the functions of wireshark and how to use it better and get the most "power" out of it?

We've packaged that nicely on the Wireshark website.

Uhh you can see odd IP's on Wireshark, and that would probably be there IP.
