Sorry for my ignorance here in advance but I need help reading my wireshark data...

image description

That screenshot is from wireshark the exact moment I just had an issue. WAN Gateway IP shot up to 600+ and the xbox game froze for about 12 seconds trying to reestablish connection then I got kicked. All devices on the network were unable to use the network wired or wifi for 10-15 seconds then it all came back. WAN Gateway times out during the ping testing during this 10-15 hangs. The connection never actually dropped it was just "stuck" it seemed. Any idea from my screenshot on what the issue is and how to fix it? Thanks I appreciate the time if you do look at it

Hi,

DUP Acks, and the High delayed response Pings here, are two symptoms to the same problem, which is very high delay on your Internet link, could be a delay on the uplink or the downlink

From the packets here i can guess that it could be a high delay on your uplink, because i can see the FIN packet from cs9.wac.phicdn.net multiple times, which means that your ACK on that packet is not reaching the server or being discarded for being delayed.

if it happens alot, you may want to consider checking with the ISP or changing the home router if it is old.

Yeah I've tried the isp supplied router (actiontec m6240) and my r7000 and my r7000p. Same issue on all three.

Is there anything I can do on my end to avoid the high delays?

Anything I can do in advance to show the isp that the issue is on there end? They are coming out tomorrow for the 3rd time in 2 weeks and so far have adamantly stated it wasnt on their end...
