In order for the UE to search/add 5G NR in NSA3.x, the EN-DC supported network broadcasts upperLayerIndication-r15 in SIB2 and from the wireshark 2.6.4, this seemed to be malformed and wondering when wireshark will support NR messages?

On which release is your product based? Up to now you had incompatible changes between versions released each quarter. The latest Wireshark version is based on the latest release available, while you could be using an older version.

Which is not backward compatible with September 18 release seems like. You can blame 3GPP for this... If you have a development environment, you can build an older 2.9.0 version from last summer to decode it.

Hi,

Wireshark 2.6.4 ships with versions from end of 2017. Please use instead Wireshark 2.9.0 development builds that are based on September 2018 releases. You can find them here: https://www.wireshark.org/download/au...
