Does Wireshark store any data anywhere else but locally?
Hello! The company I work for is hesitant to allow me to install Wireshark on my device as they are worried any captured data may be stored somewhere else but locally, as in an external server, etc. Since we deal with lots of PII, we are quite strict when it comes to where data is stored. I believe Wireshark stores its data only locally, but I don't see anywhere in the website privacy policy anything pertaining to this. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you for your time.
If your device has a network mount or file share mapped, files can be saved there.
Do you run a Data loss prevention (DLP) client on your systems that would prevent this?
