I've installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled the latest Wireshark x64 version 4.4.0 on Windows 10 and get this error message on startup. Note that the path is wrong. It should be "c:\program files\Wireshark\dumpcap.exe. How can I fix this?

Do you mean the error message is shown at Wireshark startup?

Yes. It shows this message in a yellow box where the list of interfaces is supposed to show. I completely uninstalled this version and loaded the previous stable version, which works.

Are you starting it it from the GUI by clicking or double-clicking an icon or by opening a capture file from an Explorer window, or are you running it from the command line in a console window?

20057: No capture interfaces if Wireshark is started from command line with certain paths

Should be fixed in 4.4.1 due out October 9, 2024 (Roadmap of Future Releases)
If you would like to test the fix, Developement builds are available in the automated builds download section.
