MDM Deployment

We use Filewave MDM to manage the software on our Macs in our organization. We are all running Sonoma and have noticed I'm unable to push out Wireshark via our MDM like before. Does anyone have a workaround or a version that I should stick to that would allow for MDM deployment?

Not really a Wireshark issue, more about your MDM solution. What version of the OS and Wireshark are you having issues with?

We are running Sonoma 14.4.1 and WireShark version 4.2.4 (ARM and Intel) I did get with the vendor Filewave and they did some troubleshooting and told me to get with WireShark as their end looks fine there may be an issue with the newer version and mass deployments.

We were able to deploy via MDM on earlier versions of Wireshark.

So much for the support from your buck-passing MDM vendor.

Wireshark for macOS is distributed as standard .dmg files so it seems odd that your MDM can't handle those, maybe you can add more info about what fails and which Wireshark version worked?
