I got a task from school the instructions are as followed.

Put on WireShark.

Open a Command Prompt and give the following command.

nslookup -type=ANY nos.nl

Then typ:

nslookup -type=ANY google.com

Now you can read the responses in WireShark, The amplification factor at NOS-site is 5.

The Question is! How big is the amplification factor from Google.com?

I think its 5 or 6 but i am not sure how to read the amplification factor.

Can someone please explain to me how i can read how big the amplification factor is?

Well I'm not looking for the value, I'm looking for the definition. Then the answer should be obvious.

Hi Jaap, The Amplificationfactor is The ratio between the response and the request sizes.
