How does the Wireshark tool work? To monitor daily traffic, do I need to run the Wireshark in the background so that if some problem happens unfortunately , should have record? or any alternative way to do it? Actually, I want to monitor traffic on a daily basis.

Wireshark is a packet inspection tool, not a network traffic monitor so probably isn't the right tool for this task

You may find other tools that could help on the wiki tools page.

Hi, Thanks for the response! As Wireshark is a packet inspection tool, my concern is how to capture packets of incoming and outgoing traffic on a daily basis. We don't have any idea when we got some error or malware attack. In this situation, do we need Wireshark to remain in a running mode or do we have any possible solutions? Also, my concern regarding the storage
