tracert and mac addresses

How to view tracert packets mac addresses (layer 2?) I guess the only way to do that is using cisco IOS Traceroute Mac cmd? I am trying to ID that remote VoIP system does indeed sunk to correct IP If i can view the mac I can confirm mfg.

The Windows tracert and Unix/Linux (and Cisco) traceroute commands are designed to track packets taken from an IP network on their way to a given host.
Thus they are not for MAC addresses within a VLAN. Cisco's traceroute mac is special, that it operates on layer 2 instead of layer 3.

Maybe you are looking for information provided by the arp command?
