No wifi interface in wireshark

I have installed wireshark on ubuntu 22.04 using apt and has enabled non-root user access in the same way as shown in a ton of posts and articles. Nothing other than that.

I can see a lot of interfaces and can see traffic on wlp2s0b1 and "any" but only traffic on my local machine. I can't access the wifi, there's no wifi interface shown.

What can I do to get access to the wifi interface?

What do you mean by "only traffic on my local machine"?

Do you mean "only traffic sent by from my local machine to my local machine"?

Or do you mean "only traffic sent from my local machine to another machine or to my machine from another machine?
