I may be doing something incorrectly, however when I attempt to graph with a display filter, the filter shows a line at 0. The default all packets plot seems to work, but even if I add a filter there, the graph will then just be a line at 0. 
 
The filter does seem to work correctly in the main wireshark window, limiting the packets in view to those the match. 
 
I am on Version 4.0.1 (v4.0.1-0-ge9f3970b1527). Running on an Intel Mac.

Experiment with a known good file and filter.

On the Wireshark Wiki in the HyperText Transport Protocol (HTTP) section is http_with_jpegs.cap.gz. Set a filter of http, Interval of 1 second and Y-Axis Packets.
