Links in Software Update popup open in IE not Edge
I've just had my WS notify me of V3.6.7 with a popup "Software Update' window. Clicking on any of the links in the "Release notes" pane opens the link on Internet Explorer, not in Edge. I think my file associations are correct. Ah, what association would this be using if it is using one? Is this something I have to fix with a registry hack?
Version 3.6.6 (v3.6.6-0-g7d96674e2a30)
Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 21H2 Installed on 2/08/2021 OS build 19044.1766 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0
That's entirely up to your workstation and this is not at all an issue of Wireshark. So I suggest you find a forum more suited for this question.
The Wireshark popup is the ONLY thing on my PC which opens links in IE. Googling didn't find anything useful. I suppose I could try and make sense of the source code, but I am asking what the mechanism which creates/opens those links is.
Recently I was able to confirm this issue. The links in the 'release notes window' are opened in MS Internet Explorer instead of the default browser. So it must be a bug in the "Software Update" modal. Report it at the GitLab issue tracker.
