Error 87-Install Issue
I am not having any problem with the download process. Wireshark downloads successfully. The problem comes when I try to install the program from the download.
I am running Norton 360. I have been using it for several years without issue. It is my personal computer. I own it. It is set up inside my private residence.
No one else uses it at all. It was purchased (used/reconditioned) five years ago. It had previously been used as a corporate computer.
Can you tell us what you were trying to do? I assume you were installing some version of Wireshark on some Windows machine? The details are important.
Was trying to download the Wireshark 2.0.4 (64-bit) for windows, keeping all the default options and components available in the setup wizard.

That's an extremely elderly version, why do you need something that old? What OS are you attempting to run it on?
I'm using it for a CompTIA course and that's the version that was listed in the course, Windows 10 is my OS
Just install the current version. You might have to adapt to some UI changes, but it should all work.
You might suggest to the CompTIA folks that an update of their course materials is required.
