Wireshark 3.6.3: unable to capture any packets / unresponsive upon clicking

asked Apr 28 '2

Hello, I'm using Wireshark 3.6.3 (64-bit Windows 7 Professional) and I can see traffic on interfaces on the interface menu/page. When I double click on any interface, it takes me to the interface-specific window indicating the capture has started. However, it shows 'no packets' being captured.

If I click on any option on that page, Wireshark becomes unresponsive.

Initially, I wasn't able to see interfaces. I downloaded latest npacp and I am able to see interfaces thereafter. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall Wireshark several times.

Any idea what could be the problem?

I have the same issue. Wireshark 3.6.3 64-bit Windows 7

I am able to monitor PLC status through it's web server interface. I am trying to monitor traffic between PC with a PLC.

One problem is that Windows 7 support ended with Wireshark 3.2, so you might want to give 3.2.18 a try first.
