Stream indexes are an internally generated identifier, generated whenever a capture file is dissected. They are ephemeral, not a part of the data stream itself. Therefore, changing the capture file loaded starts the generation afresh and thus may differ from other capture files.

But is there a file type where I can save the filtered records with my display filters so that a file reopens with the same display filters that I had set before? And thank you. Didn't mean to shout...

If the display filter contains stream index, then no, its ephemeral.
