Intercepting "hosts" file entries lookup [closed]

OK OK I do know it has nothing to do with Wireshark, but how would you intercept those kind of requests? If they get a reply you will never see a dns request packet, so how would you go deeper? Thanks

As you note, this question is off-topic for Wireshark. Maybe a forum for the target OS would be more suitable.

you are right... it is off-topic for "Wireshark"... but IMO it is not so much off-topic for "Wireshark users"...
